Life

A new show from Free Agent Theatre

Providing answers to life's questions. But who's life?

From the founders of Blankspace Arts. FreeAgent Theater believes that Theatre should be shared with all. In order to accomplish this, several items need to fall into place. In order for this to work, we are looking for at least 20,000 square feet in a desirable location. (Lawrenceville?) 1. Theater companies need cheap space. Not just performance/rehearsal space, but a place to call home. We will focus on collaborating with organizations liek ELCO, Puppets and Pierogies, Cup-a-Jo productions, and our own company as the springboard to create awesome works. 2. Audiences need cheap seats. In this economy and beyond, audiences should be able to have a stay-cation. Our organizations will seek to keep performance costs down and provide an ample supply of cheap/donation only seats. Scholarships to classes. 3. Sustainability. This can only work if it can continue past this fund goal. to do this: offer classes. supplement with food/drink business. donations. grants. produce good stuff. rent out spaces when not in use. The spaces: 1 Black Box, 1 Thrust. 1 small art gallery. 1 restaurantt/bar. classroom/rehearsal space. shared office space. Puppet museum. Strangers. We want to see if we can do this with help of the community.

[about us] FreeAgent Theatre is an arts collective. That means we will support artists of mainly performing arts to become successful members of their community. We are aimed at offering an artists collective where transitional actors, painters, playwrights, musicians, directors, composers, photographers, poets, sculptors, and film makers have the opportunity to grow their talents and organizations. Within our walls, there is no barrier between stage and audience, performer and observer. Every person who walks through the door is embraced as an artist. [vision] The vision of BLANKSPACE ARTS is to become a collaborative arts incubator by providing support services and creative space to those willing to examine and expand creative boundaries by offering: • theater and gallery space in which transitional artists can present their work • a café and retail section for art sales, live poetry, and networking • shared offices and a resource center for the growth of transitional artists and organizations • locally maintained spaces in multiple cities Click here to purchase tickets
